Was it ever explained how Harold ended up all the way on the East Coast?

Harold might be the only West to East coast transfer that makes sense. It doesn't make MUCH sense, but it could work. He is immune to radiation and has a fairly unlimited life expectancy (aka shittons of time to make the trek). Unfortunately that is where the logic stops.

If I remember correctly Pete Hines (maybe Todd I forget) said that INT wouldn't make a difference in conversation besides the skill checks you get once in a while - it won't be like FO2 where you could be a retard and it would actually affect anything.

Correct me if I'm wrong, someone

It would be hard to lower the intelligence of the dialogues, anyway

The only notable difference would be that you won't get the occasional [intelligence] tag next to some dialogue lines.

INT affects the amount of skill points you get when you level up, but isn't quite as uber skill as it was in Fallout 1 & 2.

Btw, there's like 4 or maybe 5 skills in Fallout 3 that you should put any points in.

I started with an INT 1 character but the smaller number of points per level was annoying so I stopped. It really is a dumpstat if you can stand the reduced number of skillpoints.
Remember, you need exactly 100 points in lockpick to even attempt that Very Hard Locked Door.

Dumber games for the console generation. YAY
I miss the good ol' USSA.

It felt really weird that you can talk anyone over on any matter or issue with that visible X % - chance you get, but if the lock is too complex you need to be GOD OF LOCKPICKS to even dare to try. And still most likely will fail for a couple of times. And broken bobby pins inside the lock won't have any effect on opening the bugger, but dare you tackle the door once, NO NO NO! You b0rked it!

I just finished it and I'm a bit depressed because I thought the game would get better the more I progressed but it almost seemed to have gotten worse. There is one character you talk to later in the game that you have a horrible conversation with, almost like they had to cut it short or something.
