Tim Steinmetz stopped by and let us know about an interesting little web app that could help you out in Fallout 3:<blockquote>Hi there :)

Eh, what's the point? You can just reboot the computer terminal after 3 failed attempts and try again. The minigame is no challenge.

not having to use pen and paper to figure out those damn passwords

You have to be seriously fucked up to use pen and paper.

Yeah. Either figure it out in 3, or just keep selecting the first three options until you get it.

I find the minigame really hard but I suck at word puzzle type things. It might also be because I don't feel like spending too much time on them.

4 attempts is just not enough for me. I think few days ago when I was playing I restarted at like 3 about 5 times and still couldn't get it heh.

To maximize your experience points, you can unlock a safe first and then hack the computer. Or first disable a turret and destroy it afterwards. :double xp:

On the other hand, there's really no point in maximizing your character's xp, because you'll hit the level cap quite early in the game anyway. I even took the swift learner perk 3 times in the beginning.

Yeah, I did twice myself. Kind of an unexpected setback when I came to the realization that I wasn't getting any higher after twenty.

I never needed paper. The words are all right there. Just compare them until you narrow it down to the answer. Right on down the list...

I just randomly guessed until i got the password, third times the charm if you are a computer expert in the game.
