Its quite amazing to see the depth that they put into games in the old days. Obviously its alot of text, but it works really well.
The diffrent spaceports feature a 4 second sound loop giving you the impression that each one of them is unique and interresting, and its suprisingly hard to get a break as a rookie captain.
You might also appreciate Space Rangers 2 - Reboot/Reloaded, Transcendence (which I personally found far more enjoyable than EV-N), or Children of Men. Ehue.

Space Rangers 2 was already pretty fun, if this adds any replayability, it's good news.
