I just noticed the new Total War game is set to be released on March 3rd/4th.
It's one of my favorite series so I'll probably download it. The setting should be more interesting than in the last two games(they rereleased Medieval, wtf ) and naval warfare looks great. I haven't played anything for a couple of months now so I'm starting to get excited.
The medieval one kicked ass always played as the Holy Roman Empire. No one stood a chance, thats how good I was at that game. Is the new one taking place during the 1700s or somthing, looks epic.

I'm only being rational. Jeez.

No, Rome is definitely the weakest game of the series. Can't say much about Medieval II, as it felt as a rehash, but you'll probably like it better than Rome. Shogun or Medieval should provide you entertainment for some time. Also, the turn-based chess-like strategy mode was more unpredictable and thus more interesting than the HOMM-like 3d view in Rome and Medieval II.
YA, cant wait for empire total war as well. I think Rome was the best because that was the first one i played. But, as it was said multiple times, Medieval 2 was a more polished and actually a little funner for some reason. It just has a touch to it that makes it addictive.

My sentiments exactly
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!
I recall enjoying Medieval - Total War 2 until my path of known world conquest resulted in the plotting and maintenance of dozens of spies, assassins, merchants . . . and so on.
That, and the charmingly schizophrenic, amnesiac 'diplomacy' model.
Will to play : Gone, gone, gone. A pity, as the mod community remains quite active. Missed gems among the requisite dross.
