Becoming Tobacco Free - The Thread
Cigarettes are the only thing that got me through college. Don't quit yet because it will make studying harder and you'll be a nervous wreck. You'll have the post smoking weight gain only to fuck up and start smoking again because you are stressed about school AND about quitting. Wait until college is over and then quit, otherwise you'll be a fatass college dropout.cazsim83 wrote:I stopped a month or so ago - but still especially during college classes I want to smoke like a motherfucker.
Same thing here. It's kind of like being in a relationship and having dreams about fucking your ex's all night long and waking up the next morning next to your current girlfriend. You feel guilty but you enjoy the fleeting memory of it.Cimmerian Nights wrote:And for a long time I still smoked in my dreams. I'd wake up feeling guilty like "aww shit I went so long, and I broke down last night" then I'd remember it was a dream.
Yeah, get used to that shit. The best thing you can do is lift weights so you can turn that weight gain into muscle mass. Also, when you work out your body somehow auto adjusts your diet to be more healthy. I guess so it gets the most efficient fuel, who knows. Unfortunately, I found I did a lot more cardiovascular and weight training when I smoked. Death paranoia is a GREAT motivator to get fit.Antimeasure wrote:Im eating as a motherfucker.

I'm on my third day with no tobacco.
I left an old ashtray in my window sill to reaks of dry budds, and the smell makes me want to not have anything to do with cigs.
I'm substituting with fruity snacks, like dried coconut flakes and drinking lots of tea (double up for the fact that I'm also slightly ill and need massive loads of vitamin C, so it's lemon slices and honey all the way).
And I think it helped that I steadily cut down during the past weeks to the point where I only smoked 3-5 a day.

Yeah, but then she turns out to be a shallow cunt and burns your ass. You, in turn, burn the bright leaf at twice the normal intake.vendetta wrote:I second the toothpick idea. Kinda works.
Going out with a pretty girl who doesn't like to see you smoking is usually enough motivation for me
