9mm Mauser

Post by Loudood »

Is there any other place in the game where you can pick up some 9mm ball ammo for the Mauser besides Eldridge's shop?

Also, can you find the sierra army depot without helping out the Wright family?

Maybe one of the NCR shops, but I really don't know about that one.

No the only way I know of, is to get the map of the SAD by doing the Wright missions.

I haven't found ammo for the mauser, didn't know Eldridges sell those :(

You can't get the location of SAD through any other way than Wrights. If you want another ending to New Reno than wrights ending, don't ever return to Mr.Wright after opening SAD.

Almost right. Thingi s as soon as you enter the SAD intern map, the Wright ending is triggered, even if you don't tell them about it (hey, it's not hard to send one more person to do that quest and find the whole thing opened up by you) - albeit it's a bit stupi as even if you DO open it, the trigger is still entering the map, where it should have been when you opened up the door :P

HK p90c is a 9mm weapon similar to the 10mm SMG only more powerful, and I think it uses one less action point than average. There is a bug that causes this gun to load with 10mm ammunition, even in 1.2, however, you can unload the current 9mm ammunition that comes with it, and use that.

Can I ask why you want to use the 9mm mauser? By the time I found that weapon, I had a Vindicator Minigun strapped to my back and a plasma pistol in each hand (atleast I could've if I used them). Or is this just one of those curiousity questions?

like i said, it is not the most powerful weapon, but the low AP cost and accuracy makes it a handy backup weapon until i can get a PPK12 gauss pistol and a reasonable ammount of ammo. Plus, the mauser is easy to get

Easy to get? where? How is it good? The magnum is better, or a hunting rifle, or a shotgun, or a desert eagle. Why the mauser?

If you are just collecting one of every weapon, I assume you aren't going to use it, so why is ammunition needed? Unless of course you just want to have a loaded gun to make it complete, getting a few bullets should be no problem.

dont you know that you can get the mauser out of a trunk (or maybe it was a shelf?) in Eldridge's back rooms?

I just find it to be a good weapon, thats all, plus, it bings back memories of beating the crap out of that fat bastard Gizmo in FO1.

the mouser was actually the first semi/semifull automatic pistol (machine pistol) developed durring the end of WW1 as a "Trench clearing weapon" for assaulting teams, so they could clear out a trench without a huge mounted machine gun....

so, it SHOULD be burst mode...

now they make SMGs instead of "Machine pistols"
(mostly)

Maybe machine pistols will be in FO3... and finally people will respect the mauser.
