Sgt. Granite

Post by Loudood »

How high does your speech skill have to be to persuade Sgt. Granite and his squad to fight against Horrigan?
I have a speech skill of 80% and 6 intellegence.

Not sure, but I think you'll need more than 120 + a decent charisma :?

Alas the Sierra AD "save the robot"-quest took 125something science skill.

I always took all the drugs i had and just tried to talk with him. Perhaps for the first 5 times or so he won't join you, but finally you should get lucky.

Bleh, it's the turrets that are more important. Activate them to distract Horrigan and blast him(it) away with a bozar/plasma rifle.

I don't know what's needed to get Sgt. Granite and his squad along you. I usually have 120% speech, 6chr and int is about 8 or 9.

Depending on the speech node you choose you'll have a test against 75 or 100. What's weird is that you get the the 100 test only if you fail the 75 test...

No other prerequisites.

Moral: make sure you're you're at 76 speech, save before talking and talk to him until you convince him. If you're lucky the script's a bit dumb and doesn't remember that you already failed to convince him and can thus ask him to switch sides without reloading...

I've never convinced him before. Mainly because I didn't know you could, let alone where he was. I still don't. I know, I know, I'm a dumbass.

Cyber Dog and K9 are wicked, lots of knock downs. But of course i try to get everybody to fight Frank, then i sit back and watch the show. that one squad of AVP guys is pretty useful cuz they can take hits, and the guys with the plasma rifle and gauss pistol really dish out the damage.
