"Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (UK: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring) is a 2003 Korean movie about a Buddhist monastery which floats on a lake in a pristine forest. The story is about the life of a Buddhist monk as he passes through the seasons of his life, from childhood to old age."
First off it's korean so it has its odds against itself for me to like it even though I haven't seen many korean films. I might see it but I still haven't seen your other recommended films about that blind samurai guy so I'm unsure if I could trust your tastes. At least you don't think "Be Cool" is the best movie ever like Subhuman.

I saw this one a couple of years ago. It was pretty cool, but it felt like the "quota slow & thoughtful movie" that ran on Canal+ back in the days. They couldn't just bomb the viewers with a constant stream of action adventures and romantic comedies, so you'd find flicks like this every once in a while in the middle.
Since 1997. My parents still got the receiver on the roof, but no active decoder card. It got ridicilously expensive and they didn't really watch it that much.
