Has anyone played the demo here? I've been meaning to download it because I heard its good from like 2 people so I'm going to download it. Are any of you going to get it on release?
I might check it out. But it does seem kind of shallow, and has had a massive amounts of hype (including getting that Future Weapons guy in on it which was kind of nice).
I never thought that the previous two RF games were anything special, but this seems like GTA on mars with destructible terrain?
You definitely should. Damn near everything is destructable and it seems to have those cute Soviet overtones. The time limit is retarded but the gameplay makes it worthwhile

Everything but the terrain is destructible, yeah. The time limit is just in the SP demo, the full game doesn't have any timers except in some of the small side missions.
Worth it, Nico? I just got Deadspace for like $30 since it's old now, beat it in two sittings or so. Was mildly entertained, but left with nothing to do upon completion.
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!
So I bought this the other week on the cheap, and had a ball. It felt like GTA mixed with Total Recall (well, some of the soundtrack made me fell that anyway), and while I finished it in less then a week, it had me completely hooked on it, which no game has done since World in Conflict... which I still need to get the soviet expansion for.
Ya, I had some fun with the game. I liked just destroying the bad guys buildings and it really becomes an art but after awhile you destroy them all and your left with nothing to demolish.

Yeah, I really digged and hated the persistent destruction at the same time. Whilst it was awesome that what you blew the shit out of didn't magically re-appear next time you booted up the game, there's only so much shit you could blow up.
Yeah, busting everything was pretty entertaining, and then it was over
A select few buildings would reappear at times, but that wasn't quite enough.
:HAMMER TIME:

Alot of people liked the first one, though I wasn't much of a fan. It was a standard FPS with an under-utilised engine/gimmick. The 2nd one, from all accounts I've heard, was a steaming pile of shit.
The first one was loads of fun back in the day. I never actually got to play it thought because every time I loaded it up, I blew up shit until I got bored and eventually just left it.

For the best, it was shit. 'Go! Save those put upon Miners! Oh, they're dead. Go! go over there, there's some more! They're dead too now. Go! Get in this piss poor vehicle! The other miners are dead.'
