synopsis: Dictatorships are born pretty much like tidal waves - slowly, carefully and once it's there for everyone to see, it's too late to stop it.

German movie, German speech
patronizing/demonizing is covered up nicely in the wrapping
touching, surprising, smart & edgy

I recommend. A nice movie about "modern day fascism".

Haven't seen the original (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083316/), but this newer version has received slightly better reviews, I think. It's also not entirely the same as the novel / the original teleplay, but I'll save you from the spoilers.
