Book of Eli post apoc movie

Script is written by Gary Whitta, a former PC Gamer editor. Some people say that the script borrows heavily from Fallout.
Might be good, but I can't help but feel like it will be shit because it makes the main character out to be too much of a badass and I glimpsed a smokin' hot chick in there somewhere too, which doesn't exactly fit the mood of the rest of the trailer.

Damn, Denzel is getting old. Makes me feel old.
Yeah I agree; a more weakling protagonist would make him more likable. You can't really identify with a super person(except maybe Megatron). Compare, say, Clive Owen in Children of Men vs. Steven Seagal in [insert any Seagal movie].
Ok, maybe the comparison is not entirely fair; if the purpose of the movie is to annihilate all the bad guys, then maybe a more badass character is more likable, but you probably got my point.

It seems like the phrase "post-apocalyptic" seem to be infiltrating popular media like a bad case of Herpes. The process of receiving it was great, but now it's spread like a bad rash. Denzel also seems like a horrible choice. He has never once made me believe him to be an action kind of actor. These settings also never capture the fragility of the situation itself. That's a great reason why Fallout was believable as a game, while you were chosen for greatness it was not really inevitable that you had to live up to it. You weren't born with some magical presence that gives you the ability to not die. You were human and had the same chances as everyone else. I guess that's the difference between great games and hollywood movies.
