Borderlands 2 Moving Ahead?
[ Game -> Update ]

Borderlands seems to be getting some pretty positive reviews, and talks of a sequel are springing up. VG247 has interviewed Borderlands creative director Mike Neumann:

I guess it’s a bit early to ask this, but Borderlands is really successful at the moment. Is there any chance of a Borderlands 2?

Yes, I can probably confirm that there’s a chance of a Borderlands 2 [laughs]. I mean, with anything, especially a new IP, if people want more and you can make more, and everybody can make money and do good business there, it obviously makes really good sense to do that. Obviously nothing so far is planned. We’re working on DLC. We haven’t really had any talks about a sequel, other than water cooler talk like, “Wouldn’t this be cool” kind of stuff.

But yeah, Borderlands is really exciting. Everyone here loves the franchise, and it seems like the public is really coming back with praise and love. So yeah, if everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me.

I know some of you have played it, so what do you think? You can read the rest of the interview here.

Spotted @ Voodoo Extreme

It was meh. Imagine Diablo in a post-apocalyptic setting played as an FPS with static maps. It's a good way to kill some time now and then, but it is hardly groundbreaking in any way shape or form, other than that it brought an original post-apocalyptic set game to the forefront of modern gaming. Able to hold my interest, but not for long lengths of time and not because I am tightly wound into the story or setting or gameplay, just because it's a way to burn time.
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!

was actually pretty fun, especially in contrast to FO3, which I constantly found myself making excuses for. It's simple gameplay, multi is incorporated easy and without much difficulty, and the weapons system, while yes, like D2, is very simple, is still fun. D2 really is the right metaphor-- consider it a FPS, post-apoc D2 with guns and more spunk.
