Fallout: New Vegas Release Date Speculation and Pre-order
<strong>[ Game -> Update ]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout: New Vegas">Game: Fallout: New Vegas</a>
<p>There are some game vendors out there that seem to think <em><strong>Fallout: New Vegas</strong></em> will be coming out in June of this year. While this is obviously speculation and these kinds of sites are notorious for putting up random release dates, it is still worth a mention.</p>
<p>First, <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Product ... amestop</a> is saying that <strong><em>Fallout: New Vegas</em></strong> ships on June 1, 2010. In addition, <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-7s- ... >Play-Asia </a>lists a release date of June 2010.</p>
<p>Both sites are offering pre-orders already, but remember that this is just wild speculation at the moment.</p>
<p>Stay tuned to DAC soon, because my sources are telling me that it won't be too much longer before we start to see some official information!</p>
<p>Thanks <a href="../../forums/viewtopic.php?t=23576">Dr. Xen</a>!</p>

One could argue that the release date is totally off due to the trend of early release dates always being months before the real one. However, you may want to take into account that The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Fallout 3 both used the same physics and dynamics engine. What's to keep them from using this same engine yet again for Fallout: New Vegas? This would save them an enormous amount of time. Perhaps, enough time to shove this game on the shelf by June. Who knows

They are 100% using the same engine. We know this as a fact. The developers often speak of using the GECK, which is the modding tool for Fallout 3. So yeah, they are using the Gamebryo engine again. It will probably be a while before they switch to any new engine, despite the inherent flaws in the gamebryo one.InternalStatic wrote:What's to keep them from using this same engine yet again for Fallout: New Vegas? IGN lists it as New Years Eve. I want to be the guy that picks dates.

pshhhh..... preorder.. i think im done preordering anything without actually knowing how the game will be like. Its like hearing about a sequal to the Fallout series, paying 1 year before it comes out, picking it up and then finding out it is crap. Actually that is exactly what would happen, if we knew the quality of this one. We dont know how its going to turn out, and i will not put my money down until about a month after the release.
