I read a graphic novel today, which some of you may know is a fancy and artistic term for a comic book so that people over 14 or so can not feel so bad about engaging in a childish endeavor.

It was titled "28 Days Later" and was illustrated by someone and also the dialogue was written by someone different. In this issue, which I believe will be a series, if it is not already, it chronicled what happened to the surviving black woman in the movie (Same title) after she survived the events displayed in the movie.

Some journalists (journos for you fish n chips crowd, if that's still a relevant and hip term, if not, please excuse my ignorance.) attempt to sneak into London by way of Scotland, first in a heli (copter) and then on a medium-sized leisure boat (probably a 22-footer).

One man is bitten in the arm and the black woman chops him into bits.

His surviving girlfriend, also a part of the journey, seethes with rage and grief and attempts to push the black woman into a zombie during the attack, to which she is in fact not bitten, and the black woman allows her to live, perhaps trying to teach us that our differences in skin color should not allow our judgement to be clouded when it comes to the human connections of compassion, survival, and camaraderie.

A short while later, the boat is blown up by an American fighter jet, then the next scene shows the girlfriend in two sections floating in the water.

The black woman, the rugged and brave lead journalist, and their now blind (soon to be ex-) hardass friend find themselves on the north end of Scotland.

The story is to be continued.

It is about the neo-zombies that have become somewhat popular in Hollywood culture, which 28 Days Later made po(o)pular this time around the pop culture bandwagon.

There is a lot of blood and people being shown after being chopped, beaten, and blown up, so it may be inappropriate for children under 5, if that applies.

There's only two things that scare me, and one is any sort of apocalyptic scenario, be it nuclear, zombies, what have you. The other are furries, which I don't think I have to explain why.

No, I just think its sick. People with fetishes are perfectly normal, but flaunting it out in public like that acting like its a lifestyle like being gay (which that is something you have little to no control over, too) saying that its "who you are" and you can't help it is just fucking disgusting.

eh, to each their own.. i dont think i could ever be down with that scene or anything, but who am i to tell people that they should have been born a racoon?

i would figgure the costumes would be scary for some, much in the way clowns are for some people though..

The thing is that its not "each their own" when they're out in public wearing their suits and going to conventions about it. People with foot or BDSM fetishes don't do that, why the hell should people stand aside and let them? Its gross.

lol how do you know they dont? theres no foot fetsih costume, but i am sure theyve had conventions and also go in public..
i would be more worried about that; someone creepily and sneakily oogling feet, as opposed to a 6' neon squirrell that you can easily avoid.

and it still to each their own as long as they arent forcing you to participate. :shrugs:

Naw, SD. 420chan thread was talking about BDSM conventions, so you know those exist. I'm not terribly sure about foot fetish things, as that seems to be something of a fringe community, but... yeah

Though I do agree, the concept of furries as a whole is kinda retarded

You have no idea how *not* fringe it is.

Perhaps, but it's still true.

Even Puff (cock amirite?) Daddy admitted he has this fetish, and there wasn't an "o_O" outcry like with other fetishes (David Duchovny's ass painting fetish comes to mind - with Tea Leoni of all people [fuck])
