Sadly, my institution won't allow us to have speciality munitions for our 12 gauges, but yes. They do exist. That's part of the reason why 12 gauges are great. They're the utilitarian's weapon of choice as the rounds can vary greatly in function.

Hell no. Aside from CERT, they took away our fucking 5.56s rendering our wall towers almost fucking useless. My institution is run by fucking morons....ofcourse it's staffed by morons and shit floats, so I shouldn't be suprised.

I was under the assumption AA-12s used standard 12 gauge cartridges

I watched a documentary on the police force in Finland a couple of years ago. Apparently they conduct thorough background checks to see if you have a history of violence or outbursts, among other things. Really wish they did this in every country. The police does a great job at times it is difficult to attribute them the respect that should arise.
