StarCraft II Wings of Liberty Release Date July 27.
No lan support so to speak from a company that made its name with games that had a huge lan following, strange but no money in it so i guess thats the way it goes.
Cannot wait to be owned by 13 year old Koreans online.
LANs are pretty much dead. LAN was huge because hardly anyone had a decent internet connection, but since everyone now pretty much does have an ADSL connection, or something similar (ie: faster then dialup), there's very little reason to add LAN functionality.
That and LAN meets are for douchebag fgts (coming from someone who used to run an internet/LAN cafe)
It's a drop in the hat to include LAN functionality compared to the rest of the development. It was specifically and purposefully left out to help keep pirating at bay.
:inside job:
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!
Let the $200+ semi-finished WoW cousin whoring begin!!!
Appearing stupid is sexier than being stupid. Although I hear stoopid was a cut perk in fallout three, but was abandoned when the devs found out it could be simulated by simply playing the game...
Hah, I think tons of people were complaining about that mektek warrior 4 shit not installing or something. I guess they did a pretty bad job of working on it.
Anyways, now that I know the release date of SC2 i will update my computer.

More interested in what Blizzard hasn't said about the game. Hybrid race anyone? That the dlc you've been looking for? Or maybe a 'fourth' installment...

BTW, i wonder if they are implementing a DRM that uses the internet to play. You might HAVE to be conencted to play in other words, and if you cant connect, then you cant play. xO

Blizzard covered this partly by stating you have to be connected alla time to play single/multiplayer. Which doesn't clear up their 'drm' scheme, the possible online fee, or what "happinz when mah gam0rz dun like meah and refuses to auth....."
