Summerschool
Anybody else taking time out of their summer months to attend classes?
I've basically switched over from liberal arts to an Electrical Engineering major, meaning that my two previous years account for next-to-nothing and I get to do another four years. Over these 8 weeks, I'm taking Calculus and Chemistry to soften my prerequisites.

Yeah, I'm taking two classes this summer. Going to enable me to finish earlier. I took summer classes when I was an undergrad too...it enabled me to have really relaxed semesters and a double major.
You should think about taking winter sessions classes too. 4 more years could be pretty brutal so try and make it easier on yourself.

Why not. Shorter term, smaller classes, unless you escape class altogether with online offerings. Next year for me, I have much traveling this year...
Appearing stupid is sexier than being stupid. Although I hear stoopid was a cut perk in fallout three, but was abandoned when the devs found out it could be simulated by simply playing the game...

The Calculus isn't too rough, but the Chem, which I started yesterday, is already kicking my ass. I'm going to have to bring it up a notch to keep up with it.
Never enlisted a tutor but I might need one for this chemistry workload. Having to memorize 32 polyatomic ions and their charge and formulas is definitely gonna be a pain in my ass.

I never did well in Chemistry they keep talking about stuff that I can't see so I don't really care about?
Also, I never do summer schools even though since my school is on a quarter system the summer quarter is regular paced as other classes so it's a legit way to get more units out of the way. I would be done by now if I did summer school but I like to chillax and rest my brain.

I'm not having too much trouble keeping up with the classes, though there is an underlying challenge present; no denying it. As far as I can tell, I've already been through similar content to what I'm doing in both classes. As long as I don't hit a snag, I might be able to get an A in both-- which would be adorable.
Where's Frater? I need to ask him about his brother's Engineering tales, see if there's anything I should be aware of

I have no idea but when asked as a kid I always said the mailman while everyone else said an astronaut or a professional sport player. Every time a package ships its like bringing presents.

Totally unprepared for my calculus midterm, and I go in without a formulas sheet and only a calculator. Emerge 38 minutes later with only 1 incorrect. Destroyed it.
Then I learned that I'm taking a Calculus class with more of a trig/algebra background rather than something comparable to difficult.
Kind of crushed the feelings of success I was so proud of
