Weekend trip to Vegas. Kicked my ass, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.
First time I'd been there, though we didn't end up gambling much beyond $200 lost at the craps table. Drank plenty, though... had a $250 meal at the "Red Square" communist-themed restaurant; place was so legit, even had a headless statue of Lenin out in front, the head being inside the Vodka cooler where people can take shots off it. Meal was fantastic-- some wild salmon boyekova, maybe? Can't recall the name... but it was probably one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. We also ordered one of those Vodka fights, four doubleshots on a block of red ice. Between those, the doubleshot before the meal, the martini I quickly downed, the Long Island iced tea and jagerbomb at the Beatles lounge, and the two mixed drinks at the craps table, I was one drunk, sexy motherfucker on saturday night.
Long story short though, I'm still working the booze out of my system and its monday morning, I'm a week behind in calculus and have a chem test today in 4 hours
fuck

Also followed what became of communism ideology in the eastern europe. Talk about equality, dine fine caviar while the people don't look.
Seriosly wtf 250 dollars
Anyway sounds like a heck of a lot fun. Try to learn some dice throwing techniques next time though and have that nice tingling feeling in your stomach that you're milking a big corporation on their own game!

Yeah. The salmon, steak, side of mushrooms, side of asparagus, the portabello with cheese, the first two shots, the vodka flight, and the two martinis came out to approx $230-- with tip, $250 flat.Redeye wrote:Maybe he counted the drinks in meal price.Username wrote:lol maybe this?

Even though I could give a shit where you have been. I'm going to Vegas in November for a 2 week "company trip".Manoil wrote:Weekend trip to Vegas. Kicked my ass, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Crash the chopper into the strip while screaming for Alah, get famous, profit.
Dunno if he's staying for long but Daniel Tosh is gonna be there soon. Seinfeld is there in Cesar's Palace, Manilow is there in Paris Paris... Shaq had a hotdog eating contest by the street just outside of Serendipity 3, though I missed that. If you're into aquariums, Mandalay Bay had a decent shark aquarium with some other fish and reptiles. MB also has a great buffet, worth the morning rush. Depending on how good you look, you might be able to get VIP access to the Beatles club in the Mirage. I did, and I thought it was pretty legit. Again, depends on how good you look, so work on that uni if you plan to get access. Cirque De Solei (sp?) has, like... a different show for every casino. There are plenty to choose from, though your best bet is to order tickets at least a few days in advance. If there's still some tourism going on, whatever it is you're looking into might get sold out if you try to buy admission the same day.
Also: have a plan of transportation set up ahead of time. Julie and I walked from the Mirage to Mandalay Bay on saturday morning (almost the entire stretch of the strip) and it slowed down the rest of our day, though we still managed to get plenty in. Be quick to know your cab/limo numbers or purchase an all-day bus pass for the days you plan on being out and seeing the sights. It makes a difference-- at least in this season. Can't predict how much will change by the time late fall sets in.
Also, be sure to stay up late enough to enjoy the shows that the big casinos exhibit-- most places stop serving food at 10pm, but there are still things going on-- like the battle at Treasure Island, Volcano eruption at the Mirage, and fountains at Cesar's/The Bellagio-- which are all by schedule.
Also, if you have the resources, check out this Red Square place in Mandalay Bay. It's quite an experience.
