I've been checking this place out for a few days before registering and I must say that I'm impressed with the lack of trolls here. Good stuff

Maybe the last of the muties have finally died off. Or migrated east to New Jersey. Either theory is tenable.

I just wish I knew about this place sooner. I'm not much of a forum rat but I figured, why not start with one that rightfully respects the best game series out there? Not to sound outmoded, but I prefer FO to when it was more underground.

If you're trolls then you must be some twisted new breed. Most of the posts and discussions I've lurked upon seemed pleasant and articulate. An exception to a MR Snake, but he seems to be the Dwight Schrute of this place, in a sense.

@jetbaby, Mass commercialization rounds everything out, I don't like it. Fallout once possessed this sense of immersion that no other game could replicate, with its fleshed-out character personas, small talk for faceless NPC's, a true sense of player purpose and a deep, inviting story. Among other things, of course. Also, the protocol of game development was different for underground games. There was no "target audience", hence no generics. It was raw creative drive that drove the game and that's what it's all about. Most new games these days are clones of themselves, and that makes me..

If by the first part you mean that you hold a degree in linguistics, then yes; the latter bit is just a form of graphomania.
