cooking with mismatch and dog

Post by Mismatch »

So, wife was away this evening, so it was up to me and dog to fend for our selves.
We went for my special indianesque dish.

First one grates four onions:

Then you dry your tears :(

Now, butter up that frying pan

Add them onions, some chopped up chicken and some spices like some ground ginger, curry powder, Tumeric, some cumin and whatnot.

Image

Fry it for a while till the chicken is sorta cooked.
Add some peppers.

Now we add our dairy product (yoghurt or whatever catches your fancy.) And some water.
Then we spice things up a bit more by adding more spices. Here I usually go with some spice paste of some sort. But spice mixes should be ok as well. And at the end i put in a pair of tablespoons of curry paste just to give the dish some oomphh.

Serve with rice.

Feeding your dog all that spicy food will make it poop like a champion.

Congrats. But could we get those pictures in bigger resolution, please? I can't quite tell the molecules apart.

I've failed utterly whenever I've attempted an Indian curry, I'm probably one of the worst cooks ever. However, I do pull off pretty damn good Thai Green Curries and Chili Con Carnes.

I put some cinnamon on my chicken and onions last night and it became tasty.
I miss the good ol' USSA.

Looks like a good dish, I'll definitely try to make it at least once. I'm not a great cook, but I know my way around a weed.

What's the dog's name, by the way?

I've never cooked anything even close to that complexity and I don't plan to for awhile. I like watching Gordon ramsay's shows but I haven't cooked anything more complicated than scrambled eggs in the last few years.

This was one of the few good things Dreadnought was for...he was a professional cook or something and always had good suggestions for recipes.

I made a pretty good indian dish myself a few months ago. Forgot what it was called but I basicly copied some of the stuff I saw on a can with already made stuff, added some stuff myself and read about it on the web a bit.

If anyone has some good pasta recipes I'm up for that. They have to include tomatoes - cause I have alot of them.
