Er, Mormons only have multiple wives. Not the other way around. Just the way they believe things.... so they want as many wives as possible. Supposedly makes them more powerful gods in the afterlife.

Oops, yeah. They wrote it out of the book of Mormon when the Utah became a US state. Just like they did with calling black people the spawn of the devil, although that was later on.
