Why does Smiley still have admin powers? And DU at that? Those two, of all people, have shown that they aren't responsible enough to hold such power over a website that doesn't like them.

Clearly KoC just doesn't care, but I'm not too sure he's on the level either, it's a conclusion of a perverse board with members against the authorities. We're sort of like Negro slaves in 1843 Alabama, we may hate our massas, but we still diligently do the dirty work.
