ive been wanting a pretty straightforward shooting gun game recently thats just singleplayer and good enuff. i tried bad company 2 but it was shit. is FEAR any good? id like something like far cry or something O_O
Crysis I thought got old really fast but it is a technical marvel, however overrated.
Far Cry 2 on the other hand is one of very few recent games that actually got the stick it deserved (probably because Ubisoft doesn't pay as much as EA or whatever) but it too is a technical marvel and as far as I'm concerned more fun than Crysis.
FEAR is supposed to have the best enemy AI and the best combat around but I haven't played it.

So you can't really go wrong with any of these, it's really just a pick between exotic island, Africa or corridors, really.

i was thinking of getting far cry 2 again As I quite liked just getting a load-out sorted, driving around the monkey jungle then attacking some african dorks in a shanty town. Reminded me a bit of a first person jagged alliance mixed with some awkward driving bits. Had its moments though, like getting into a high speed car chase and hitting a sign so you fly a million miles in the air. After a while i got bored and used cheats though and flew around like a fucken Space Soldier or some shit

maybe ill get it again now That im thinking about it

That's the charm of it IMO. Nothing like firing a RPG into a grass hut and watching it evaporate or throwing a molly into some ammo and watching the sooth effricans run from the ensuing bulletshower, while screaming out their battle tactics at the top of their lungs. Shame there's not much else to do, though.

Modern Warfare 2 has a good single player, it is overall a better game than Black Ops and has far more content.

We've used www.socialkik.com to buy a few thousands of Youtube views and channel subscribers for multiple channels and they always over-delivered on the number of views or subscribers that we purchased by up to 30% of extra views. Far Cry 2 is ok but it seems they tried to add too many features for a shooter imo. A nice idea but it seemed to present itself rather restrictive imo imohomo. It wasn't as brainless as I was hoping you know 'Serious Sam' type of good brainlessness.

Yeah, one of FC2's problems is there's nothing to do but missions. Kind of a waste of an open world.

You want brainless, apparently Painkiller is a lot of fun. Haven't tried it tho, so can't say if it's any good.

I bought the FEAR pack (just the first and its expansions, I had the first one already but it was five CD's and I lost the third a few years ago), Natural Selection 2, Evil Genius, Men of War, X3 Gold, and a (legal copy) of Europa Universalis III with Heir to the Throne.

All in all still about fifty dollars tops thanks to Steam sales.

Painkiller is quite good - I got it off GOG while it was on sale (might still be) and on the final difficulty, it is a good mix between Quake 2 and Serious Sam. More of the former rather than of the latter. It's not a bad game.

I also bought:
Darkfall I & II (which I regret, I was expecting a different kind of game)
Simon the Sorcerer (I wanted a game akin to Monkey Island but this one honestly isn't anywhere near as good)
Gothic I (because I've misplaced my CDs and it's a fantastic game)
Outcast (well I bought it a while ago actually but it's on sale now [it was back then too], it's a great game, get it)
Still Life (quite enjoyed it)
Personal Nightmare (some really old-school horror game, from 1988 I believe, it looks decent but I haven't had the time to invest into it yet)
Arcanum (which is, needless to say, amazing; misplaced my CDs, playing it right now, gun techie again)

Whoever had an account since beta got Jagged Alliance Deadly Games for free so check it out.

Also, you can pre-order Witcher 2 off GOG with 10% off and no DRM.

I now own 18 games on GOG and I intend to buy more. This thing beats Steam any day of the week in terms of value, quality and support.

I wish GOG added the following: Deus Ex, Vampire: Bloodlines, Civ III. What else?

I played the free beta for RUSE and I couldn't really get into it, it had some good ideas but overall the gameplay wasn't as good as say Company of Heroes.

I bought Men of War in a pack for ten bucks (that'd be in US skins) and I'd say its easily worth that.

I got Assassins Creeds: Brotherhood for Christmas but it basically picks up exactly right after AC2, which I didn't play, and it doesn't explain things too well so it is all buttfuck.

I'll probably have to buy AC2 and play that before I played AC: Brotherhood which sounds like too much work and I won't be surprised if I don't ever do it.
