Fallout: NV on sale on Steam
I've noticed a huge problem in Civ IV is your units and wonders become obsolete before you can really use them. That's fine because everything is upgradeable, but sometimes the upgrades don't make sense. I pretty much lost my first game because I upgraded all my cossacks to helicopter gunships - then quickly found out they can't capture cities. That ground things to a halt because my advanced had been setup with the cossacks being my heavy hitters.

The combat has more strategic aspects in it, instead of piling the troops into one tile you have to actually surround a city.
Ranged units make much more sense now that you can shoot from a further area at the enemy.
Otherwise it's quite similar to the old ones with a few new changes, nothing bad though.
I recomend it.
