Make your own squad in the campaign?

Post by Sprainedkhyber »

I've heard for the longest time that there is a utility that lets you create your own squad in the Campaign. I've been looking for quite awhile now and have not been able to find it. Does it really exist, or am I mistaking it for something else?

You'd want to take this up with Cakester.

Launch FT Tools.exe.
Pick Level Editor.
File-Open
Go up one directory.
Select Campaigns
Missions->Core->MissYouWant

You can select your squad members and customize just about everything. If you want to replace your squad with entities not listed, you will need to extract your entities_0.bos

I think I recall some issues where extracting the .bos will overwrite existing files that are newer than what was in the .bos

Anyway with entities_0.bos extracted you should have a much larger selection .

Mod tools say it's a different IP, so unless Cakester developed a mind - which I doubt - Khyber is a guy interested in modding a decade old game.

The guy who gave you help in this thread. It's the only time in his life he has ever been of use.

Hey, I downloaded some custom character portraits. How do I "install" them, so to speak?
