arcanum was pretty easy and fun for me as I figured im always terrible at managing spells and so on, so made a half-orc dude and just ran around with a sword. i probably missed a lot of dialouge but i could kill most things in two or three hits then run up and kill the next one. the only bits i struggled at were the dwarf mines and the elf forest bullshit but i just needed better weapons most of the time. with npcs i also didnt give a shit, if they died i wouldnt reload or anything id just plough ahead.

it was pretty dope B)

Had played it many many times in the past but hadn't got particularly far, probably due to the fact that I always played gun techie and because I never really grasped DnD mechanics. Anyway, spent the past week or so playing it and just finished. Really cannot remember a game that's captivated me so much in recent history. If you're unfamiliar with the game, there's a lot of pre-playing research to do but once you get the hang of it it's immensely enjoyable. Easily one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
I really enjoyed Arcanum, just as much if not more than Fallout. It has tons of glaring issues like a confusing and a easy to mess up character creation, bad combat, long dungeons but it was fun. My first play I thought you could mix magic and tech like on the box but then I found out that it actually makes it worse to mix into the two areas because of the affinity or some shit, I had to start over.

To get through the golems I think I just massed molotovs on my replays because I knew how hard they were. I think on my first play they broke all my weapons and I had to use everything in my power to destroy them but it was fun.

Empire: Total War

Do not know why I did not enjoy this back when I got it on release, after almost 2 years of collecting dust I decided to fire it up again and now I find it quite addictive.

The campaign mode can be quite confusing at times but the battles are amazing and engaging.

Cannot wait for Shogun: 2 :salute:

Between my Steam game list and all of the other disks I have lying around I easily have over 200 PC games. I can count the number of console games I have on two hands.

This week's DUH! moment brought to you by Burning Oasis.

Been playing Super Street Fighter 2 on a Mega Drive emulator. Apparently all the time I played it as a kid means I'm good enough to finish it on max difficulty without losing a fight. Game fucking cheats though.

Anyways, not sure if this is old news or wa'ever but here's a nifty lil' find for zombie fans.

ORGAN TRAIL! (or Oregon Trail meets Zombies)

Made it all the way on my first try but had to get rid of the whole party and ended up getting bitten myself just outside Albuquerque (knew I shoulda turned left...). But hey, better a :zombie: in Oregon than a clerk in Jersey. All told, 2128 points. Will be playing again.

Edit- Well, had a second go (what do you want, work's slow), this time with you lot above as my team. The result?

I'm a Dead Bastard award - PiP for being the first to get bitten and only "making it" as far as Dallas. Sorry!

I'm a Tough Bastard award - Stalagmite for getting bitten 6 times since Chicago and making it all the way without showing symptoms.

I'm a Lucky Bastard award - Burning Oasis for not getting bitten and never getting ill besides braking a leg. Good show!

I'm a Delicate Bastard award - Dennie, for contracting every bloody disease known to man, breaking a leg twice and showing symptoms at every rest stop (and getting better every time). How you made it, I'll never know.

2413 points total on easy (kentucky cop).
Moral of the story? In the event of a zombie holocaust, stay close to Burning Oasis (and away from Stalag).

I think the fact that I've contracted and survived every disease would make me a tough bastard.

I killed snoop dogg, tron and a cat as soon as I got to st. louis as they kept breaking legs and setting fire to the tyres in my car. Handsome Jim got incapacitated by cholera after we left albuquerque so i pretty much constantly drove for a few days with huge food sacks and sick Jim in the backseat smoking joints pass da bacardi like its your birthday. Then he died whilst I slept so I had to drive to salt lake city by myself. I caught Typhoid off a shopping trolley in the desert. Whilst sleeping off the typhoid I managed to break my arm though managed to finish, waaay.

I just bought Blacklight: Tango Down. It's actually kinda cool, but lacking in some areas which I'd rather not go into detail, for it is unnecessary, as you all would probably rather read something else, instead of wasting your time on a lengthy run-on sentence about a game. Oops.

True enough, I've raised the same kind of discussion about that japanese nuke geezer.

Unlucky, because he got hit by the only two nukes ever used on a combat setting; or lucky, since he survived both (and lived til his 90's)?

The more discomforts you've felt in your life the tougher you are. The more comforts....you do the math.

Zero titles are difficult but enjoyable. Haven't played the ZX ones but I hear they're more of the same.

Never beat Legends on 64 due to faulty roms, but I preferred X and 7-9 more anyway. Which have you gotten into lately?
