I would like to get memoir 44 but it's only for 2 players, a lot of the really good looking games seem to be for only 2 players.
We got ticket to ride and it seems like people enjoy it, it's simple and there is room for a bit of strategy.
I was thinking pandemic but my friends generally don't want to play any new games unless I read all the rules first and teach it to them which I don't like doing.

i hear the 1910 expansion for ticket to ride is highly popular amongst the youth of today, give it a go. in the meantime just build huge coast to coast railroads and win
ya explaining games sucks, carcassonne is super duper easy to learn/explain and works with varying numbers of playaz, the theme seems a bit dorky and i guess it is but it's pretty fun, plus it has lots of good expanshuns when you get bored. highly recommended would buy again a++
