I arrived to Modoc with my hacked unarmed/melee char (I hacked to try with sneaking. It is pretty basic compared to Tactics..but I still managed to kill raiders before their eyes and they didn't "see" me. They let me to kill their comrades without doing a thing. Fun) and did what I always do.
This time I wanted to chat with people I usually skip, so I went to talk to some merchants and they were pissed of someone to let Rose's "chickens" away. I talked to Rose and ordered a Wasteland Omelet and she said someone had killed their "chicken".
Then I got what she ment and I was horrified...anyone else know what I'm talking about? I had always wondered about the "chicken" in the fenced area...dogs guarding and all.
No wonder the omelets are so hit. Little secret ingredients...

It's a weakling. I kill it every time. You can do it with a spear easily, just aim the eyes. Remeber to lock the door on the fence...

I always manage to cripple the "chicken' somehow. Then he just runs away and all you have to do is shoot him in the back  Didn't have any porblems with him. Cool stuff.

So never bothered with it again
Dummy me, it would've been fun and stuff. Yeah, you know. I guess.

You probably ran away to the streets and accidentaly shot an innocent citizen. Or a merchant.

You need a STR of 8 to move the rocks. Alternatively you can plant some explosives on the rocks. Same strength thing as in Vault City vault, the stuck door in lvl 2, I think most strength checks are 8 or higher. That's really no problem, if you have buffouts...

Kashluk don't shoot the dogs. Open the fence, then leave the whole map for a while. They should be gone when you're back.

Waking an old topic...
Or you can let your friends deal with the dogs, or you can sneak and kill them if your skill is good enough. Save before trying!

Is it true that when you let the "chicken" loose and leave the map, the entire section of town is massacred?

That sounds cool, but pretty untrue. Warlord, waiting for results of your investigation.
