Fallout: New Vegas GOTY edition

Post by King of Creation »

[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Game: Fallout: New Vegas GOTY

It seems Amazon UK jumped the gun on announcing the Fallout: New Vegas Game of the Year edition. They had a listing up (since taken down) showing scant details, but listing the price as £29.99. No specific details of the contents were involved, but we can probably assume that it will include New Vegas, Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road.

Thanks for the tip Vault_13!

Thanks bru

Celebration was decent, another mildy-depressing but enjoyable thread on it

Considering Fo3 was fucking terrible and DA2 was also terrible should I actually bother playing NV?

Catman was worried about NV being another FO3. I told him he would be more than happy with the series' return to it's creators.

He bought it, and he's thanked me since.

If you played Fallout 1 and 2 for the story, yes. If you played Fallout 1 and 2 for game mechanics, no.

I liked the mechanics in Fallout 1 and 2.

Me to, but the sheer futility of trying to get 1997 back just isn't worth excess strain to be honest.

That said, NV was pretty good if you can at least tolerate Bethesda's engine.

I just bought NV and played it for the first time about a week ago. Not overly impressed, but the writing IS a whole lot better than Fallout 3. And Colonel Tigh is in it. Fragging awesome (dumb)

I would love to get '97 back. Totally worth the effort.

In other news it's slap Jesus on a Cross day!!
