Shit man. Hellgate London was truly tragic.
Seems like alot of games with alot of potential never reach it anymore.

I'd be happy if they somehow smashed together several good studios for the game project of the decade pumping out a masterpiece and even putting it at 80 bucks or something. But it shoudl have like at least 100 hours of gameplay.

Or just keep it at 50 bucks because you know everyone will buy it.

The problem seems to be that they think people will buy all the shit time and time again and they'll make more by having small, overstressed studios producing halfdone crap.

Maybe they're right.

Best thing you ever said. /fuckinwitchoo
Yeah the theme's a beast can't wait to run through this game. A little dirty humor and sattire never hurt no-one, especially if you get to blow shit up in the process.

Well I wouldn't hold it against you if you weren't, the theme's probably the best thing about Nukem. And the tits. And the humour. And the shitting down an alien's neck. Dammit, this thing was going to sell only for its namesake, the least they could have done was make it a throwback to DN3D. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm gonna play it anyway. And bitch afterwards.

The full game is easily as bad as Daikatana. Worse even.

The craziest fucking thing, and the final slap in the face, is you can mod the demo all you want. Look on youtube for evidence. You can also activate the developer console to change fov, disable/enable other features, use cheats, spawn badguys and weapons, change the driving perspective to first person, etc.. They went out of their way to remove this in the retail version. People who were hanging on the hope modders can fix the game were completely dashed.

No modding capabilities? Yep, sounds like Gearbox. That is easily the biggest problem I have with Borderlands, mods could have made that game so much better.

Actually it was possible to modify Borderlands and add whole new maps if you used an unpatched exe to launch the Unreal editor. The problem is the game didn't draw anybody serious about modding so only a bunch of unfinished shit was created. DNF will probably get the same treatment. A few people will squeeze out some garbage nobody will play because the game will never properly support mod/map making.

Yeah but I mean the developers actually giving mod support to the communities. Gearbox doesn't do that.

What...? Gearbox treats the modding community badly?

http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showt ... p?t=123966

They are seemingly fucking it over very, very badly.

It looks worse.

Daikatana didn't try to be funny and fall flat on it's face, it was kind of a ho-hum generic setting/characters.

All I saw was a TV commercial of this game with Billy Squier's Stroke playing over it, and knew instantly I want nothing to do with it.

Not worth the money, buy something else like a dildo or even better a few cases of these.

Not one to tread for the sociological importance of Victoria Brewery's finest for you bogans, I do, however, contend it takes a special kind of person to drink that dirty dishwasher water and that's even if you're the kind who only drinks beer to get wasted, which already makes you pretty special indeed. 4.6%? Really? No wonder "taking the piss" took as an expression. It's all you fuckers do while desperately trying to get pissed :drunk:

Haha well it's just that the stubby's are gone (for me), we now get these 500ml cans and NSW and QLD can't have them yet, I knew staying in Victoria/Ghoulbourne had to pay off eventually. HAD to. ;)

Also, pissing is fun.. Ask Duke Nukem 3D Forevererr
