An iconic Dutch flick that I unfortunately missed when it was current.
For those who haven't seen it, I would recommend that you do. And don't watch the trailer, it gives too much away.

Ooh, I'm surprised at the skeptical response. The thing that makes this movie shine is that it isn't as slap-stick as a first impression might lead you to believe, but that it's actually quite accurate social commentary and satire on the current situation in European socialist utopias.
Don't know how I would rate it though, saw it again with a female acquaintance fairly recently and some of the impact is lost when the shock value ceases to be shocking. Still, would def. recommend it. There's even a sequel out, though I haven't watched that yet.
