I guess on general level this sort of 'awareness campaign' is only a good thing. But I seriously
couldn't imagine being offended by some guy walking around wearing this, wielding this and
drinking this while acting like an obscene pig. I guess it's the subtle differences, you know. You
can use racial or cultural stereotypes just for fun, or then you can just aim to insult with them.
Depends on the case.

Lil Wayne is not a culture, he's a lone dude that only represents himself, and if he is a culture, it deserves to be ridiculed.
That's not a "stereotypical black dude" costume. Just like Charlie Sheen or Richard Nixon or Freddie Kruger masks aren't white stereotypes.
If you're black and this bothers you, shouldn't your problem be with clowns like Lil Wayne perpetuating, amplifying, and profiting from whatever stereotypes he exploits to brand himself and differentiate himself in the marketplace.

Either way that campaign is pretty dumb and it's just another excuse for people to complain about some bullshit. Besides that though you have to have some major balls to black face yourself, like megatron did once for Halloween I assume.

I was Micheal Jackson for one year as a kid, I colored my hair black and had the red leather outfit with the sparkly glove. I was like the most ridiculed kid on Halloween, I think that was right before accusations of child molestation by him (or during?).
