But are people actually doing this voluntarily?

Is this a huge, epic troll attempt or is this real?
Do people actually en masse post pictures (avatars) of themselves on a forum, mostly of themselves AND their friends?

On a game forum?
The registration doesn't seem to force a facebook-connect so what the fuck is happening?

I mean is it like "Oh I'm not a nerd, I have friends?" Cause the most troubling thing here is the fact that they are posting pictures of themselves + others in their avatar...
