Teatime's Book in Audible Form

Post by Dogmeatlives »

[ Literature -> Update ] - More info on Community: Wasteland Radio

As you may or may not know, longtime DAC member Mr. Teatime has a post-apoc novel he created about 4-5 years ago now, titled Dirty Clouds and Puffs of Stardust. Long story short, I contacted him and asked whether Wasteland Radio could try and turn the book into an audiobook. Luckily he agreed and now we've just finished the second part of what is sure to be a many-parted project. This is really a DAC audiobook experience- written, narrated, and music created by DAC members. More info on the novel is over here.

I do offer this warning- after criticism I've received I will warn listeners that the first ten minutes of the prologue is narrated pretty dryly, but please stick with it and you will notice it gets better. If it's really too dry for you at that point, consider starting with Part 1 before you give it up entirely.

Anyway, here it is-

Yeah, the guy is pretty dry. But, I do like the McCarthyesque poetry of the writing.

Thanks. Before starting this I said to Dogmeatlives that, looking back, some of the book makes me cringe and if I was writing it again I'd do things differently - but some of it I'm still really proud of - so - yeah.

BTW I'm still around in the community, just lurk or post under a different alias now.

Of course it's not friend. That'd be a retarded alias.

I was literally this close to buying the book for Megatron last christmas, but Lulu or what the fuck ever the site is called didn't let me or something, can't remember the details.

Anyway, this mother better have piano solos between the chapters or I don't listen. http://tindeck.com/listen/mytm

There were some problems with buying the book a while back but I've done some checking recently and ordering seems to work fine now. Ordering through amazon should work without issue.

(PS this is my new alias, obvs. Probably would have been simpler to change the Mr TT account name, but... yeah.)
