Hello, I'm trying to write a gaming blog, obviously this is not going well.

In my opinion this is the best place to run ideas by so I've come for help.

I'm mostly into the gems. Alpha centauri, Europa universalis, king of dragon pass. Football manager is something I can't stop playing.

I own wasteland 2, but with the kids being toddlish I don't want to play it until I know I'll get the time to do it properly.

I mostly play Crusader Kings II (god this is addictive), World of Tanks and DotA2. These two last ones are the greatest multiplayer games to ever be, though both totally different. Seriously. Gems are hiding under the apparent simplicity of the games. When you get in higher tier games and you hit serious players, the whole thing relies uniquely on teamplay and strategy. Both are petty much balanced so it's not rewarding to play cheap and exploits are basically non-existant. And nothing beats the satisfaction of going through a tough, long, hard but fair match and coming out on top by outmanoeuvering the other team with cooperation.

Oh, and they are free. Though gold speeds things up in World of Tanks.

CK2 is the shit, though. Paradox grand-strats are my bag man, I just have to wait to play the games after they release the DLC because I don't want to spend 15 bucks on the new content so I just wait.

A few friends bought Company of Heroes 2 so I went and got it when it was on sale a week ago and I'm enjoying it. It's not quite the same as the first game, and I can't tell if I like that or not. Overall the game is pretty solid though.

And for some reason I hate myself enough to keep playing Mechwarrior Online.

I'm such an addict that I just can't wait and buy mostly everything full price. I downloaded a cracked version of CKII at first. And ended up buying CKII and all it's expansions, but also Heats of Iron III, Victoria II, EUIII and EUIV, and every game's expansions. No need for protection à la Diablo or Sim City 4, just make good games with honest content

CK2 is so addictive, kinda taps into the same thing that football manager does in my opinion.

Have you guys tried the Men Of War games? They are amazing with friends.. that and ARMA are my multiplayer recommendations as a games journalist.

I've only just heard of unreal world but it looks like something I'll have to try.
