This game is for you.
It has all the nice features, metabolism, nice nature and crafting, other people who you can befriend or make a necklace of their ears.
The downside is that it features zombies and big robots that guard high value locations, but there are servers where they are turned off so you only have your own health and other players to worry about. Still I play on a official server, "Europe #11".
Very nice coop game.
Also, the company has doubled its developer force this month so there will be alot more updates coming out, it's all early access these days.
It's essentially the crème de la crème of hardcore online post apocalyptic survival.
Map is 12 x 12 km. The final game will be 24 x 24 km. :o
