sooo Since DAC is my primary source for the "news" as the kids these days like to call'em, (psst fake news am I right) I thought I would make a thread about interesting headlines and topical things and stuff. Think of these as the front page of the Gimp Gazzette, quarterly edition: what would you like the World to hear if DAC were to curate the news and nothing but the news from here on out?
Oh yeah guess I should post an example, like this was pretty interesting it's about ketchup.

I've been listening to some podcasts that talk about magic though, like Rune Soup and Know Thyself. I find the influence of mystisicm and esotericsm on Western thought and history fascinating. Lotsa influences from iranian/persian folks, zoroastrianism etc. from the very beginning, and the greek socratic flowers admired the hell out of Egypt, thinking it was the mecca of Wisdom or something. And Egypt is like, super magical. Pythagoras was considered a str8 up Wizard. Interesting stuff, maybe.

a lot of christian folk in the comments saying that only god should get to decide when you die

do these people not seek medical assistance at all then, or is letting doctors prevent you from dying not going against god's will but fundamentally different somehow, i don't get it

anyway i'm all for legalizing suicide but coupling it with the government like this seems kinda weird, then again govts have been in the business of killing their citizens since time immemorial so what's new, why not let the small people choose for themselves at least

Well I think part of the issue is that it’s being pushed as a solution by the government.

Take for instance the lady in that video. She actually didn’t want to die, but couldn’t get proper medical treatment for her condition, which caused extreme thinning of the skin and connective tissue to my understanding.

There’s been more than one phone call that I’ve heard where “health care” officials in Canada have pressured or otherwise pushed the idea of suicide on people who plainly did not want to die. I don’t think that should be ok, personally.

Oh yeah I agree, that's the "kinda weird" part I was thinking of. Maybe it's not that weird though but rather the logical consequence of our endless quest for efficien$y, free Zyklon B für Alles. Or maybe it's the antifa who the hell knows
