New Stellaris DLC came out, been playing that. I miss old features they cut out but all the new stuff is pretty good, all things considered.

Solitaire on my phone, it's pretty good but lots of ads
Re: Game you're playing. How far you are.
finally been playing Breath of the Wild, it's a very good game thus far. I feel like I'm around the halfway point but hard to tell really.
As a kid I remember being bummed out about games having some impassable mountain range and thinking how cool it would be if you could just freely roam around everywhere. Well turns out it's pretty cool actually

I've got the OG Zelda in a golden colored cartridge, but I think that's what they all were made in back in the day. Playing a lot of Warhammer 3 now that Immortal Empires and mods are out for it. Good stuff.

That must be worth some money by now. The only games I have kept are Fallouts, Torment, C&C and Dark Forces, that's about it; no boxes and I don't know if they even have all the CDs inside either because who even uses CDs any more. Haven't had any sort of an optical drive in about a decade.SenisterDenister wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:48 am I've got the OG Zelda in a golden colored cartridge, but I think that's what they all were made in back in the day.

Re: Game you're playing. How far you are.
I managed to install Chrono Trigger DS on my 2DS, very nice having the two screens for it. Just arrived in the End of Time, I had nearly forgotten how much I like this game
Also playing Skyward Sword HD on the Switch, gotta be one of the worst ones in the series but at least you don't have to use the motion controls on the Switch. Beat 2 temples thus far. Also recently I also learned that I can borrow Switch games from the local library, so I am now in queue for a bunch of games I wouldn't bother paying for

beat Chrono Trigger 5/5
beat Final Fantasy VII 3/5 maybe
Purchased FFIX as well when it was on sale, pretty insane to think this was on PS1, must have pushed the system to its limits. I guess the same applies to Chrono Trigger, they were released at the very end of the PS1 & SNES life cycles respectively. Kind of neat how the developers learned to squeeze every bit of performance out of these systems back in the day

steamworld dig 2
new super mario bros u
ori and the blind forest
captain toad treasure tracker

Re: Game you're playing. How far you are.
I'm trying lots of new and different games, wife has new laptop with 3050ti
Re: Game you're playing. How far you are.
My favourite part about the chip shortage is that game devs pretty much have to make games work with old ass GPUs and my 1060ti or whatever runs 1080p games just fine. I was thinking of playing Pentiment instead of Donkey Kong because I've been platforming a lot, feels like the right thing to do.
Have you found any Very Good Games?

Well yes, but not for me personally. There is a new Dune rts which was very good but I don't have energy to micromanage a complete game.

I feel you, I can't be bothered to spend days learning a game, like all those Paradox Interactive games look interesting and all but I'd rather jump around and shoot things. Speaking of which, been playing Neon White, it's a weird mixture of fast-paced FPS action and a weeb visual novel. Thankfully the latter can be pretty much skipped. It's a lot of fun, reminds me of like Superhot with its short levels and rankings based on your time.

I just finished Final Fantasy IX, it was okay but I'm not as big a FF fan as I thought I was I guess. 7 was good as a kid but that's about it. Tried Mass Effect for about 6hrs and found the gameplay lacking, lots of downtime and fucking around in the inventory, just wasn't fun. Finished Katamari Damacy Reroll, excellent but also very good. I believe I'm now done with video games for a bit. Hoepfully the next Zelda will be out this spring
Re: Game you're playing. How far you are.
I'm back into playing Project Zomboid on a multiplayer Roleplay server, nice chill gaming to pass the time. Made a cabbage farm and I guess now I have become the most notorious cabbage dealer in the server.
