The Fake Fallout 4 Trailers From 2011-2012.

What's good y'all!? Hey, does anyone here remember those fake game trailers that people made for Fallout 4 prior to it's official announcement?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here they are:

For the first fake FO4 trailer, posted on YT back in 2011, it was presented to be taking place in San Francisco:

Now for the second fake FO4 Trailer, posted on YT back in 2012, which quite prophetically presented the game to be taking place in Boston. The only thing inaccurate about it, was the look & atmosphere of The Commonwealth presented in the fake trailer:

So yeah, that's pretty much it! And NGL, I'd say the one that fooled me the most back in the day, was the San Francisco one. Because quite frankly, it was well made! It looked official.

Also, the second video is muted due to copyright. According to the description of the video, the song "Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel was supposed to be playing on the radio there!

Most people around here knew it was going to be in Boston. Word had gotten out in like 2011-ish that Bethesda guys were spotted in Massachusetts and with all the build-up of the Commonwealth in 3 it wasn't a far leap to think it would be set there.

True, they did tease Fallout 4's storyline in 3 with the Replicated Man side quest. Plus a few other hints here & there, for example Doctor Madison Li!

And BTW, it was in August 2012 when the reports of Bethesda scouting Boston was first reported.
