I never got the appeal of the battle royale games. They're just deathmatch with no respawning.

I had a friend who was big into PUBG when it was new and he sold me on it,
I was just running around the map for 15 minutes without seeing anybody until I got sniped, if I didn't get bludgeoned to death with a frying pan during the first minute that is, fuckin bullshit

I knew somebody that was trying to sell me on it and it basically boiled down to "it's an asshole simulator like dayz without the zombies." To me, I played dayz for the survival elements, I never liked being an asshole, and I liked the zombies. It was a hard pass.
