Spoken Intro?
Would people willing to download an extra 2.5 Megs for a mission with a spoken dialogue?
I've got no problems with it.

Only a real artist knows the actual anatomy of the terrible, or the physiology of fear - the exact sort of lines and proportions that connect up with latent instincts or heriditary memories of fright, and the proper colour contrasts and lighting effects to stir the dormant sense of strangeness.

As I don't think much people have anything less than 56k modems and (counts) that will take (counts some more) something around (counts) well up to 7 minutes, that shouldn't be a problem...

I'm on the broadband bandwagon, so I don't care if it's 2.5 extra megs or 25 extra megs
Closing our eyes forces us to look
At the darkness inside.
Our emotions always find us
Regardless of where we hide.

Flamescreen queried:
I also figured the correct angle to distort in Photoshop to match the perspective in the game. You can numeric transform a regular picture 27° vertical for walls or billboards. Then it's just a matter of adding sides and you have a 3-d looking wall. Now all we need is tile editor.....[/quote]
Not quite, I was just playing around with a sound program & photoshop last night. I pared down the intro a little more so it's only 1.7 Megs but it's really cool. I changed the pitch of my voice to make it more menacing and added a background track of synth notes. You mean quartz is ready? Great!
