What happens to the Chosen one?
What do you think happens to the chosen one?
I think he should have travelled a bit to the east, and using the extra GECK he found he started a village of his own.

I want to see a crazy 100 year old guy with a big beard though teaching me stuff.
But it would be different for everyone, so it could just be your current charecter with +200% to all skills +80 age. Problem is if your guys 60...you can't have that as age.
mabye just have him dissapear, then start a town with a cultish following.

Pyro:
yes, thats how fo2 ends, the V13 dwellers and the Tribe unite to form a well rounded community.
Tycho:
he didnt "mysteriously dissappear" he was exiled. i could go into telling you why, but thats what the FoB is for. And that would be a weak start for fo3.
IMO: the community should still be going, and you, the main char, should be a decendant of the chosen one.
then something happens to make you venture out to get something to fix whatever's wrong. To eliminate the complaint that happened in fo2 "why do i just get the suit and not a plasma rifle and all that?" we'll say the community got rid of all unneccesary weapons.
its just vauge enough to work.

naaah, to many holes.
Get rid of top of the range power armour and weapons that they've never seen before?
I think the Chosen one should just pack his bags one night and leav on a holy quest, never to be seen again.
The geck village s/he created would have a few people, training to be heros (like punch bags made of empty power armour and deathclaws as a unarmed sparring partner) and s/he could be on like a throne in power armour. This would hide the chosen ones face and mask his voice so you wouldnt be able to tell his age or her sex.

IIRC the original vault dweller founded arroyo, then when he got old he ventured out into the wastes once more. where he died is not known.
Fallout 2 should really follow a similar path. he sells his junk and returns to tribal life. leads there for a while then wanders off into the wastes leaving behind his memoirs.

"And when he gets to heaven
To St. Peter he will tell
one more soldier reporting, Sir.
I've served my time in hell."
Cry Havoc! and let slip the dogs of War.

Well, your idea has some holes too. Not big, maybe the size of bullet holes?Pyro wrote:naaah, to many holes.

Leave on a holy quest?? Why would s/he do that, there's no reason to do that now everythings finally settled. Deathclaws should be vicious beasts, not sparring partners. And besides, it would be quite hot sitting inside a power armor all the time.
The tribal idea however is fine to me, as long as there is no temple of trials. And the main character in Fallout 3 should be related to the chosen one in some way.

Yeah your idea could work but I don't see why they'd just throw away the equipment.VasikkA wrote: Well, your idea has some holes too. Not big, maybe the size of bullet holes?
Well he IS a tribal. Perhaps he got sick of life in a normal village, or just wanted to test his skills (and start a village of his own)Leave on a holy quest??Why would s/he do that, there's no reason to do that now everythings finally settled.
I meant as sparring partners, like they just get throw into a pit and have to fight it unarmedDeathclaws should be vicious beasts, not sparring partners.
Well mabye not power armour, but it was just an idea to hide his/her face. Mabye some kind of mask or something? blehAnd besides, it would be quite hot sitting inside a power armor all the time.

Obviously you never read the little thing called a manual, CBR. And you really ought to reconsider your rather ill-advised attempts at posturing. It merely reveals you as a pathetic little child unworthy of anyone's attention, except possibly to spit on.

He was not exiled from Arroyo, at least not at what I can remeber of the Vault Dweller's Account. I thought he just dissapeard, like Paul in Dune.
And this was in reponse to a pm GG sent me.
I dont just call people "stupid fu(ks", but in your case, Blacken, I would however be willing to make an exception.

It does not explicitly state what exactly happened to him in the manual. However, it suggests that the Vault Dweller died on the first page of the introduction. Therefore, I doubt he disappeared.
Oh, and you're not exactly one to be calling others stupid. If I recall, quite a few people here - S_P, I hope you don't mind me mentioning you - have said similar things.

According to the manual, the vault dweller leaves his memoirs for future generations because the tribe elders want that. It does not mention he wanders off to the desert. I get the impression he lived rest of his life in Arroyo. It does not explicitly state what exactly happened to him in the manual. However, it suggests that the Vault Dweller died on the first page of the introduction. Therefore, I doubt he disappeared.
The chosen one probably did something along the same lines..
