Oopsies, I goofed up in my above post. The names of the files should be:

rocketOutOfAmmo.wav
rocketReload.wav
rocketSingle1.wav
rocketSingle2.wav

Basically, just remove the "launcher" part of the names.

Well, just to be safe, make 'em end with .WAV instead of .wav

Oh, and be sure to put 'em in the right folder:

Fallout Tactics\core\sound\game\

If you've done that and it STILL won't work, then I dunno what to tell ya

ok this is what my list of .wav files look like in
Fallout Tactics\Core\sound\game

starting from 3 above the questioned ones
RobotInteriorOpen
RocketExplode1
RocketExplode2
rocketOutOfAmmo
rocketReload
rocketSingle1
rocketSingle2
Rustle_DirtRustle1
Rustle_DirtRustle2
Rustle_FleshRustle1
Rustle_FleshRustle2

non of any of those .wav files in my sound folder end in .wav they all end exactly as i have written
maybe they should just make a patch for it lol

If your files extensions aren't shown, do the following:

Click on the "Start" menu.
Go to "Settings".
Go to "Folder Options".
Click on the "View" tab.
Make sure that there is no tick/check mark by the entry "Hide file extensions for all known file types"

If you had the file extensions hidden, you may have erased them when you copied the file names. If they are not hidden and there is no file extension, type the extension in.

ok thanks OTB that was the whole problem since the file extensions were hidden and i wrote rocketReload.wav it was really this once i turned file extensions on rocketReload.wav.WAV so thanks so much!!! the launcher sounds awesome now

This was a major pain in the ass, although it wasn't as involved as someone else's experience. Still it cost me some major sleep and I'm so wired I don't think I'll sleep for a week...

I've got the British weather to blame for my pale skin, but even I'd have a tan if I lived in Arizona.....

What's up with your AV, OTB? Sometimes it's Peter O' Toole, but usually I just see the Fortune City logo....

Nah, you'd be afraid of skin cancer, Viktor. My city is the skin cancer capital of the northern hemisphere. (We're second only to Perth, Australia last I heard.)

My guess is that you see the FC logo when you're at work and that the machine you're on doesn't accept cookies. If you don't have cookies enabled you don't get to see FC graphics.

Either that or FC's shitty servers are acting up again.

Sometimes I think they purposely fuck up just to push people into the arms of paid hosting by Ampira.
