Economic question

Post by Constipated BladeRunner »

FACT- Vivendi Universal currently distrubutes some IPLY games, correct?
FACT- Vivendi also owns all of Sierra
FACT- Most of the FO team works for Trokia, which is a part of Sierra
So it is remotley possible that the company who Vivendi sells it's game part to, and let us consider if IPLY is bought out by Vivendi/ other corp. it is possible for Tim Cain and countless other former BISers who worked on FO to come together to make FO3?!?!
I know, I am desperate.

You know what they say CBR - anything is possible. Probable? No. As sad as it seems, everyone moves on.

Troika isn't part of Sierra. Troika was contracted by Sierra to publish Arcanum, and that contract is over.

Well, this kind of thing has happened before. Sid Meier and the rest of Firaxis made Civilization III for Infogrames (I think). It would be nice if Tim Cain were to come back to Fallout.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Well, yeah, but I'm guessing he loves Fallout. Bah, I'm just desperately hoping here. Truth be told, I think that BIS as is could pull off Fallout 3 quite well. They just have to take the time to do it right and apply the lessons they learned from Fallout 2. And maybe hire Saint_Proverbius to make absolutely sure no more talking animal shenanigans go on.

Judging by everything BIS has made since Fallout, I don't think they can. That includes the Fallout Bible by their "star designer".

Ahhh yes Mr. Chris Avellone and his FEV explains all. I agree with you Saint, that BIS could not make a Fallout 3 that is true to the origional.

They haven't got the talent to do something spectacular, most of the talent have left BIS. It's interesting to see how their first non-Infinity engine(which is by the way an appropriate name for that engine!) game will be like.
