I saw one of my friends playing it when I came over once. I saw it at a store later and instantly snatched it up. yum! yum!

I can't remeber actually buying the original Fallout, but I do remeber seeing it in a store, and I remeber the first time I saw the install screen.

Getting Fallout 2 was funny because I was in living in England and saw it in a shop. I had not heard anything about it before then, but I pretty much dropped everything and spent all my money on it right then and there. I was looking over all the shite games on the shelf and *BAM*, there it was, Fallout 2. One of the more pleasent suprises I've had.

Heheh, my uncle just bought me FO2 for Christmas present...

Then, later, I got FO1 with this gaming magazine I bought from a super-market.

And finally (, unfortunately,) had to make a review of FO:T to this internet magazine, so I got a free copy of the game from the importer.

I walked through a gaming store at the local mall, saw Fallout 2, and thought, hell i need something to keep my mediorce life together, i played it for an hour, thought it was shite, and threw it away because i thought the health system was crap (stupid chimp i was), i regrouped my nerves, went back to playing it, and realized you could sleep to get your health back, then i made it to Klamath and fell in love with the game....

Few Months laters i accompany my dad to a dick smith powerhouse shop to get a new cordless phone and i see the original fallout for only 30 bucks, i almost cry from happiness that its still being sold, take it home and i didnt leave my computer for several days..

*wipes away tear* oh the happy days..... :D

Hm, I was a fan of the Crusader series and I saw Fallout 1&2 boxed together. I looked at the pictures on the back. I thought it looked about the same. Then I saw it was a roleplaying game so that finalised it. I brought it there and then. I got home, installed FO1 on the PC and was on there for 6 hours straight playing it. After a few months I finished it. I was thinking what I should do next. Then I saw Fallout 2 still in it's box. Opened it and installed it.

The joys of Fallout. I loved it. Not bad really, it cost me £20 to get both games. It was buy FO2 and get FO1 free.

Ahhh...Crusader. How I will miss you.

The third installment was canned because it wasn't practical because UO was in operation. Other game series were screwed in turn because of the same thing.

And some morons want that assrape to happen for Fallout, mind you.

I still have them, they just won't install on my old PC, at least they wouldn't before I re-formatted my hard drive. I'll give them a try again, I loved those games :)

By standard procedure...

I read an article about it in a gamesmag i had a subscription to at the time and was "wowed" by its graphical appearance. I just liked the idea of playing in a post-apocalyptical wasteland.

I headed for the nearest gamestore the day after to get a copy. Fallout 2 is probably the best virtual experience i ever head, right on top of Starcradt.

I never really played Fallout 1. I lent it from a guy that was in my class once but never actually played it as i was too busy playing starcraft and fallout 2 at the time.

Actually fallout was my first computer game , before that i olny played puzzle bobble in some place from time to time .
My current boyfriend played some games but nothing serious , then he got a new game . He started to cancel dates he was always playing the damn thing . One day i start arguing about that , and one thing leaves to another he told i should try the game , its very fun blabla ...
Well i tried it with some difficulty my boyfriend had to help me with the commands and the interface , but after a while i started to love it , i mean
it almost looked like a real world ...
Main point i loved it , strange thing though is that its the olny game i won't
get tired of , tried to play fallout tactics but hated it !

I played the demo that was in PC Gamer back in 1997, I thought it sounded interesting but the game blew... at the time. About a year later I decided I would try it again because I wouldn't have the net for a couple days and Fallout 2 was soon to be released and it sounded really cool. So, I played it and I loved it...

I saw Fallout 1 in a shop and almost bought it. Except the time limit put me off (I was used to playing sonic the hedgehog at the time, and I didn't like rushing a game). A few years later I saw Fallout 2, then it said it had no time-limit. I almost bought it then, but didn't have the money (I was about 10) about a year later I saw it and bought it. I must have played it for about 3 weeks straight.

I have only played fallout 1 once though (I had to borrow it off a friend)...I'll go and buy it soon. The noly thing putting me off was I have Fallout 2 already.

I had read several positive reviews for FO/FO2 over the years, but I never could find them. Then I saw the dual pack at Wal-Mart and it has absorbed a ludicrous amount of my free time since then.
I'm not insane, I'm just misunderstood. Unless I misunderstood the meaning of "insane".
