How do we all think civilisation will cease? My own personal bet is World stock market crash followed by riots'n'war.

with "true" i mean there will be rioting, but it'll originate from second world countries which won't be content with their current situation and want to achieve first world status. by means of violence, eventually.

i think Man is too much of a pussy to use nukes. how sad.

i don't know for sure, but it's possible Russia still is a second world country.

i was speaking in the name of an economic theory. in that theory second world is... brazil, argentina, oil-producing Middle East countries ... well mostly countries that have quite a blooming industry but where the people are poor as hell.

I voted other, because I'm awkward. I think it'll eventually cool and shrink and the resultant tectonic activity will shrug us off like bugs. First to go will be all those having fearfully wedged themselves into the underground dwellings carved out of the Earth's mantel.

Nukes would be great ! but world is not going to end so damn easy , this who have strong determination ( or money ) are going to survive .
My father have a chiken slaugthery , it kill chikens and sell them as food , so he can stop the purple chikens invasion and get rich in the process !

Well here's how I see it...

If we don't end up in a nuclear war, we're going to make the environment not habitable.

If we don't do either of the above, we're going to figure something like cold fusion out then there's going to be an accident and puff!

Let's face it the sooner we inhabit another planet the more chances the human race has to survive. Sooner or later something is going to destroy Earth.

Exactly, plus once we are off earth we can use it as waste dumping ground. As long as everything we care about on it is removed (or most at least) we can screw it up all we want. It's the perfect solution
