Well, I was about eleven when I first saw the game. It looked neat. I especially like the graphic of the PC crisping a radscorpion. A year later, I actually convinced my parents to get me the game. I installed it after read that KICKASS manual, got the feel of the game, read a little bit of a FAQ to figure out just what the hell I was supposed to do...and BAM!
Several years later, I've played through the game four times (but only actually beat it once...odd, eh?) and I joined V13. Then I migrated here blahblahblah. My friend installed FO2 on my computer (I didn't like it too much...) and then I bought FOT. Boy, what a waste of cash that was...

Back in 97 I was in 7th grade a friend of mine showed me an ad in his gaming mag of a suit of power armor with a ruined city in the background. I was thinking this game looks awesome. then for months I forgot about the game. Soon chrismas rolled around and my friend said he asked his parents for Fallout. I then thought that the game looked cool so I asked my parents for the game. on Christmas morning I opened my presents and one of them was Fallout. I was so excited. I loaded up the game imediatly. When I saw the intro to the game I thought that nothing could be better. I was in awe. then I made my character. after speaking to the overseer i found myself outside the vault and it felt as if I was there in the game. the atmosphere of the game was overwhelming. well I soon found my character running in short bursts and then freezing then runing a little more. I checked the system req's and my computer did not meet them. I continued to play the agrrevatingly slow game. 2 months later I got a new computer and was finally able to play Fallout in all its glory. I have been hooked ever since.

Fallout must have been the first CRPG I've played. Well, not counting Ultima VII.
I read some reviews, it looked interesting so I bought the game. That must have been my best investment of 279 old currency ever. I played it and loved it, and suddenly Fallout 2 was released, I was in heaven.
To tell you the truth, I thought FOT was going to be even better than Fallout 1 and 2. I thought it was an RPG with tactical style combat, like in X-COM and JA. So you can imagine my disappointment...

I first saw fallout in the dual jewel pack at Target. It was only 10 bucks and I needed a new game and I didn't want to spend all the moeny for something else. That was the best $10 I've ever spent. I took it home saw the intro movie and was in awe. After I figured out how to work the controls, I ended up playing it until 4:00 am. And I got it around noon. It was great. I'm still waiting for a game that gives you that same feeling like I got when I first started playing it.
