2d engine sorce code
2d engine sorce code
If anyone wants to make their own Fallout 3, or just an RPG set in the fallout world, you can download the Visual Basic code via the following links:
Best 2D engine I could find - http://planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ ... 5&lngWId=1
Speech System - http://planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ ... 1&lngWId=1
Inventory,items and quests - http://planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ ... 9&lngWId=1
I would splash these all together if I had the time, but if your a VB programmer then you should be able to do it with ease. Also, if you want a SPECIAL system, I hear somebody else is working on one, search the msg boards for the link. Enjoy. :drinking:

Fuck you interplay... Make Fallout 3 god damn you!
Ok, SORRY, obviously you have nother better to do other then pester people as to where they should post their god damn topics. The nature of this topic is unclear, it has to do with fallout 3 *kinda* and has nothing do to with mods or modding, or anything else for that fucking matter. Thus, this would be the best place to post it. So, with that out of the way, would you like to eat my ass? Fuckin flamer.

I probably have better things to do, but not right now.DogShit wrote:Ok, SORRY, obviously you have nother better to do other then pester people as to where they should post their god damn topics.
No, because this is, once again, the O - F - F - I - C - A - L Fallout 3.Dogshit wrote:The nature of this topic is unclear, it has to do with fallout 3 *kinda* and has nothing do to with mods or modding, or anything else for that fucking matter. Thus, this would be the best place to post it.
No, because I, unlike what you wrote, don't participate in flame wars.Dogshit wrote:So, with that out of the way, would you like to eat my ass? Fuckin flamer.
You, however, seem to enjoy that.
Have a nice day (if youre not banned).

Kreegle why don't you reinstate the guy? I hope this isn't going to turn into the thin-skinned V13 style of banning. The guy made one flame against you - get over it. If you didn't notice he did post some potentially useful information.
If all a person does is flame everyone then sure ban the fucker, but let's get real here.

JJ86, what do you need to clue you in?
They guy posts all sorts of shit haphazardly, then makes a huge damn fuss ovr it as if he has some right to smear his ass over the board, then makes two shots at people, one at an admin.
Perhaps you love to receive that kind of abuse and have people shit on your living room floor, but others don't have to.
EDIT: What the twit posted was nothing anyone looking for such materials haven't found before. Take a look at the dates of the projects.

MeTHoD-X is Dogshit, Jimmy. He registered last night, and he's still an active member on the forum - with a more appropriate nick this time. So, he can stay, but with the new nick. That's what I said earlier. He wasn't banned last night when he re-registered, he hasn't been banned today. Case closed.
Now as for the planetsourcecode stuff, why Visual BASIC? There's a few engines in there in C/C++ that are also isometric I noticed. Why not go with VisC++?
Also, isometric is fairly easy once you figure out how it works. Really, it's nothing more than drawing a grid with specific tile height and width requirements. For example, say the standard tile size is 64x32:
for loopy = 1 to 10
for loopx = 1 to 10
Draw Tile at loopx*64, loopy*32
next loopx
next loopy
That's really all there is to it in a nutshell. Of course, you need to work out how it knows what tiles are what, the starting position that it draws at, and so on. This also assumes that the base of the tiles are 64x32.
However, that should work even for multiple height tiles, since we're drawing from top to bottom.

I wouldn't put much credit in that, since I've sen MeTHoD-X registered for close to when their little...session...ended, as if they had expected to be banned or something. Check on the exact times of the joining if you can, Prov, if the time of each register was close together or the second nick was registered before the threads were posted, then it might be an intention to use the first one to troll.Saint_Proverbius wrote:MeTHoD-X is Dogshit, Jimmy. I fully support Kreegle for banning, the nick of Dogshit. If you go to a board, all of a sudden create new posts wherever you like, and use language against Admins, you're getting what you deserve. I mean if you do that against an admin, one only can imagine the potential behavour against "newbies" once this member is established or has some time in the forums.
I also agree with the second chance part, since he/she could have a bad week or something.
