Getting up to speed on FTBOS

FOT\Core\Gui\Char

.Zar files are corresponding with the portraits. Im not aware of what file represents Solo's mugshot though. You will have to find this out yourself. Maybe analysing all files by name might point you in the right direction.

Core_rec_hm08 corresponds with Stitch.
Core_rec_hm09 corresponds with Stoma.

I havent yet been able to specify any of the others though. All it requires is time, little skill involved. but right now, time isnt on my side.

Question on Experience: When the game says "XXX experience gained", does this mean that the party gains the XP or just the guy who makes the kill?

GooChunks, if you're still looking on how to get that Paladin's portrait into your character portrait, post here or PM me, I've found a way to get it done.

Experience is awarded to everyone in a Player Index, so it's your entire squad. Also, the number of members in your squad does not affect the number of XP awarded for completing Objectives or killing enemies.

Ah, okay, so XP goes to all. Thanks also for clearing that other matter up. I remember debates when FTBOS first came out when people claimed they level up faster with less people in the squad since they claimed the XP is "distributed" around the squad members. Thank you!

I presume you have located Paladin Solo's pic? It's a .zar file telling you it's his portrait, though I can't remember the exact name and I can't turn on my notebook right now coz I'm letting it cool down (my Sony VAIO sure has some serious heat problems!

). If you need help finding it, say so in your next post, it won't be a problem locating the file.

Next up, copy the file (give it a different file name or something), then determine which character you want to look like PSolo... if it's your main character, then rename the copied file to "CORE_prefab1" without the quotation marks. If it's some other character, say Stitch, you have to locate which CORE_rec_hmXX.zar corresponds to Stitch, and rename the copied PSolo portirait into THAT name. Got it?

If you are still confused, post your characters here (say if you've edited them or not or whatever you did coz it might affect stuff), and which one you'd like to change, etc. Changing the portrait pics is a very simple process, it's just a matter of determining what to name the file into.
