So Lets Say There WAS A Fallout Movie/Television series....
What kind of character would be the main one ?,
think about it, fallout can be played through so many different ways it would be tough to choose the one character type to play the star....
another thing, gender, you can play as male OR female
And the path through the Fallout, although this is probably easier, if its a movie it would show a bare minimum of the fallout world, if its a television series they would show everything to drag the series out further...
what are your opinions on, say they did create a Movie/Series (and they wont because interplay would go nuts about wanting royalties, and the money grabbing and all) what would the vault hero be ? should he join up with folks along the ways ? what path should they take ?, should it follow the story of fallout 1 or 2 ?
go nuts....

I think it would have to be a completely new storyline. Actually, it depends on the target audience: fans of the series or just everyone. If it's everyone, then they would have to use the original storyline since otherwise, the general public wouldn't get it.
But the point is moot, I guess. I agree with the assesment that a Fallout movie will never happen.

Now, what about a Fallout Tactics series? It could be like Xena the Warrior Bitch, Dawson's Creek and A-Team all in one! MARTHA STEWART AS SINGING SOLDIER IN POWER ARMOR #16!!!!

I'm skeptical about a Fallout movie. The reasons have already been mentioned - it couldn't be THE Fallout. Perhaps as a fan project without being a "canon" part of the setting.

I was leaning more towards a tv series fallout, a movie couldnt fit half the stuff FO1 and 2 had in it..... and it would most probably have freddy prinze jr or sarah michelle gellar in it *shudders when thinking of scooby doo*
or it could turn into a star trek, with millions of sequels... only problem is they couldnt make a fallout movie "search for Ian" because no one would look for him, bastard constantly shooting me in the back , and the standing-in-the-doorframe-when-i-want-to-get-past :x

Yeah, a series would be the better idea. But then we would have to settle for lower actors that haven't yet hit the huge screen.
The Ian syndrom has found many victms. Usually you can get him to move out of a door frame but I went into a one tile corridor with a dead end, Ian walked right behind me so I couldn't move. I had a choice, kill him or load a saved game. I had to load because I was to early in the game to be without a hireling.

And that would necessarily be a bad thing? Just because an actor isn't famous doesn't mean they're not good. Look at all the shitty Hollywood actors that get paid millions of dollars.TheReaper wrote:Yeah, a series would be the better idea. There's a way around that - DON'T GIVE A SHIT.TheReaper wrote:The strange thing is that a Fallout movie couldn't be called Fallout. There is already a film called Fallout which has nothing to do with the game at all, I don't think it's even post-apoc. Damn movie-makers!
But I guess they have secured the trademark. Damn. Well, it still could be "Fallout, A Post-Nuclear Adventure".
I'd like a movie better - it wouln't have as much time to get shitty as a series would, so the writers would have to "cut the crap" instead of inserting more ballast to stuff the series up. Of course, there's also the danger if they cut the good parts instead of their crap. But, as I said above, keep Fallout away from the screen (the silver screen and the TV screen, I want more on my monitor ) unless we're talking something that would only get shown on FalloutCon.
